Introduce yourself as what almost killed you:

Hi, I'm a decently high place from which an 8 year old fell from, hitting exactly her diaphragm and being unable to breathe for almost a minute (she didn't have a concept of time)
Introduce yourself as what almost killed you:

Hi, I'm a bicycle that slid down the slippery slope and caused the person who was riding it to smash head first into ceiling of underground passage.
Introduce yourself as what almost killed you:

Hi, I'm out-of-control car spinning down a road of black ice that narrowly missed going over a cliff.

The Panthers Winter Classic uniforms are the most “brown means old” uniforms of all time @stevedangle20.bsky.social

This is what we need. Young people stepping up and demanding change. It's way past time for old fuc*kers to get out of the way.

Interesting how the last quote differentiated between right wing and MAGA.

Right wing = old time GOP

MAGA = Trumpers

Matthew Hibner's 80-yard grab that hasn’t been seen at the #HolidayBowl in decades. If your estate plan is just as old, it might be time for a refresh.

Watching old Adam West Batman, and I think both Adam West and the comedy writing might be underrated.

At the same time, Batman is such a Good Guy, in every sense of the word. It's awesome.

Hi UmA. It's Threeday, anybody can see that! That means you're back in Club 3, at least for the day. I hear they're playing some great old 50s music there today. Time to drag out the saddle shoes and ducktail and party hardy.

I’ve wondered why you’ve been so absent. I feel terrible you’ve been going through this. My heart goes out to you. How old was she? I know you were together a very long time

My old 27” LG 5K’s thunderbolt port seems to have gone bad (won’t connect to my laptop as a display but still supplies power) and at least the first two repair shops I called don’t work on displays. Not the best time for me to have to buy a new display 😞

Time to clean out the old dust in the senate. Primary challengers welcome!

Beneath the pale and patient moon we come, as kin and guest,
With laden boards and laughter, and old tales to lay to rest;
The winter's hush unthreads itself beneath our kindly cheer,
As bread and song and shared delight unbind the tightened year.

It's really hard not to fall into the sunk cost fallacy for genshin

Don't get me wrong I love the game.

But I played it obsessively for like 4 years?

And then when I cut contact with my old roommate (who was the only person that played with me all the time)
I kind of lost all drive

Lived here basically all my life…that’s a long, long, long, long, long time! Well aware. Did not want to go, but it is the 80th birthday of Brennan’s Restaurant. It was well worth torture of getting there. Had an amazing meal and visited with old friends.

At the time I was telling friends who thought it was nothing that they should take note of that event. They didn't understand history of the US West if they thought some standoff over cattle and government land was not old smouldering embers of long standing western issues.

Found an old 250GB SSD to be a boot disk for this hand me down 96G dual Xeon machine. Realized that the last time I had a machine with this low a storage to RAM ratio it was a 143k floppy drive on a 64k Apple ][+.

Ball in flight using the old standard was based on ~40 feet, while the new standad is ~53 feet

Movement is proportional to the square of time (or distance). 53/40, squared is ~1.7

So, old standard x 1.7 = new standard (as napkin math)

Oh, you skipped out on the Secret Adventures of No One Guy, with the special retailer incentive Don’t-Order-Them pack-in?
Too bad, that’s where the plot resolved and everybody won.
*triggered from recently reading an old Midnight Sons run, or at least the parts I was able to find at the time*

Into the vault of old art - this time for Danny! He's an overly confident detective and older brother to one of our main characters, Rufus. You can read more about him here and in the alt texts for the images! www.planetxylox.com/character?id... #furryart

Yeah, I mean, I have actual important shit to do the next couple weeks, but if I execute all that, I have some free time. So I have been thinking about a Linux box and breaking out the old soldering iron and who knows what.

Is that 'AI'? Practical machine translation is over 50 years old, good, readily available translators 30 years old, and for all of that time we didn't feel a need to pretend.
