A tall, temporary structure has been built over Queen Street between Yonge and Victoria to facilitate construction of the Ontario Line subway station beneath the existing Queen Station on the Yonge Line. What lies behind will be a large pit, so it's best you take a left or a right.

Today Metrolinx contractors chopped down 17 trees by my count of fresh stumps.

The notice from last month listed exactly 17 trees to be felled. Those trees still stand.
