I snuck my car into the driveway and loaded up eight trash bags of donations -- the last to go. So, update: 183 items out the door. That brings my total to 1,128 items offloaded this summer, beating my 1,000-item goal. #decluttering #minimalism #toomuchstuff

I might revise my goal to 1,500 -- that would mean 372 items to go by year's end. In addition to counting what goes out, I could track what comes in. A twin practice of decluttering is reducing consumption, though that one is more of a challenge. #decluttering #minimalism #toomuchstuff

After some sorting, down to 10 bags excluding reusables and grocery ones: 3 duffels, 2 purses, 2 messengers, 2 backpacks, and 1 tote. I might swap the messengers for a briefcase and one of the packs for a smaller, city one. And no, I don't own luggage. #minimalism #decluttering #toomuchstuff
