GENERAL SITUATION
The U.S. and PRC are in the beginning stage of open conflict. Each nation is rapidly mobilizing, aiming to establish an advantageous position for their forces in the Pacific. Two PLAN surface action groups (SAGs) supported by a PLANMC ground force have been tasked by the Chinese Communist Party Central Military Commission to gain access beyond the First Island Chain. USINDOPACOM has been tasked by the US National Command Authority with containing PLA forces until reinforcements arrive. To do so they are deploying elements of what has become the Marine Robotics Regiment (MRR) concept as well as a small SAG, composed primarily of uncrewed vessels. The US has bought wholesale into the vision sold by the Defense Innovation/Defense Ventures crowd of a wholly drone equipped force. The DoD has divested significant amounts of its traditional weapon system portfolio, including modernization programs that were underway as of 2025, in favor of AI-enabled drones backstopped by a small quantity of traditional crewed formations. In contrast, seeing this the PLA significantly reduced its investments in these systems (“intelligentized warfare”) and plowed resources into producing ever more quantities of so-called heavy metal, albeit equipment which still possesses the typical “smart” capabilities of the 2020s (“informatized warfare”). The engagement will serve as a proving ground for which nation has made the best choice in its defense investments.

- TF Dynamism: 1-1 Charlie (NMESIS only), 1-2 Charlie (NMESIS only), 3-1 Charlie, 1 Alpha, 2 Alpha, Lima Co
- TF Sauron: 2-1 Charlie (NMESIS only), 2-2 Charlie (NMESIS only), 3-2 Charlie, 3 Alpha, 4 Alpha, Kilo Co
o NMESIS only HIMARS units do not equip with GMLRS (the red 6 value LRS), only equipping Naval Strike Missile (the orange 3 value LRS)
 NSM can only be used against ships
o US Infantry Platoons reduce their ground assault value by 1 (to 5 baseline) and their ground assault magazine by 1 (to 4 baseline). This is to account for the increased investment in uncrewed systems impacting the strength of US infantry’s core lethality
o US Logistics units reduce their resupply value from 20 to 8. This is to account for the US’s reduction in logistics capacity due to increased investment in uncrewed systems and an increased reliance on AI-enabled logistics, leveraging just in time algorithms

- TF Callaghan: DDG(X)-101, DDG-56, DDG-85, DDG-90, and DDG-93. However, the latter four are not DDGs but rather Large Unmanned Surface Vessels (LUSV). As such they only have one hit point and are only equipped with a magazine of 5 LRS. DDG(X)-101 gets a BMD JCC for free.
- The US team gets 10 ground MILDEC and 5 naval MILDEC counters for free. You may purchase additional MILDEC
- All US ground units may deploy anywhere north (above or on) of the 17-hex row. TF Callaghan may deploy anywhere east of the finish line (grey cubes running from V1 to V15).

PLANMC/PLAN
- TF Kongming: 1 Alpha, 2 Alpha, 3 Alpha, 4 Alpha, 1 Bravo, 2 Bravo, 1 Delta, 3 Charlie, 3-1 Echo, 3-2 Echo, 1 Lima, 2 Lima, 3 Lima, 4 Golf, and 1-1 Echo
o 1 Alpha, 3 Alpha, and 1 Bravo are equipped with the ZTD-05, featuring a 105mm assault gun. To account for this their ground assault value is increased from 6 to 8
o 3-1 and 3-2 Echo are equipped with the PCL-191 MLRS system instead of the WS-3. The PCL-191 is equipped with a 370mm rocket system compared to the WS-3’s 400mm, so the range is the same as is the LRS value. However, the increased logistics of the fully modular PCL-191 means the LRS magazine value is increased to 5.
o 1-1 Echo is instead a PCL-181 wheeled 155mm artillery section. To account for the increased mobility the supply is reduced to 5
- TF Zheng: LHD 201, FFG 573, DDG 172, DDG 103, DDG 104
- TF Xiao: LHD 202, FFG 574, DDG 173, DDG 174, and DDG 102
- Each Type 055 (Renhai-class) gets a Ballistic Missile Defense JCC for free
- The PRC team gets 5 ground MILDEC and 3 naval MILDEC counters for free. You may not purchase additional MILDEC
- TF Zheng and TF Xiao may deploy anywhere south of the 20-hex row on the western size of Luzon. TF may deploy south of the 19-hex row

The 31st MEU is a regimental-sized MAGTF and conducts MEU floats in the USINDOPACOM AOR. When ashore, it is subordinate to III MEF. It's GCE are composited out of battalions under the Unite Deployment Program (UDP).

Afloat the command relationships go through the fleet and MARFORPAC.

According to the chief of the Indo-Pacific Command, US military forces in the Pacific are deploying a huge number of drone weapons and strengthening overall force readiness in preparation for a possible confrontation with China in 2027.
