I've seen some other VNdevs offer some advice and I figure that I might as well share my wisdom. I've been making narrative games for over a decade and worn hats as a Writer, Ren'Py Programmer, Social Media/Community Manager, Producer, etc., so I probably know a thing or two.

rating games on itch.io is SO easy and ABSOLUTELY free and your local vndevs will love you forever and ever. the website even reminds you of the games you haven't rated yet! petty neat ^-^

Oh, hey. I'm not a voice actor, but voice acting is really important to my community. Voice acting is such a transformative part of visual novels, so we make it a point to help first time developers connect with first time voice actors. We had one actor be cast by 13 different Spooktober VNdevs!

Oh! And for my fellow #VNdevs, it's not a visual novel centered one BUT I find these are the best jams to grow your portfolios AND introduce new folks to the genre of visual novels (hence I participate in mostly ranked non vn centered jams. Join me! Or if you want to team up maybe, let me know!
