Check out vrcx if you're having issues with invites, they usually always arrive there and you can join in through that. It's an external app though :(

another thing to mention: if anyone uses VRCX and you were on green, joined a public (fr, fr+, pub, gr, gr+, grp), and then went on orange, they can see the instance history and where you probably are.
