I have lost the negative during a house move -- this is a scan from a print in a book in which it was published.
I wanted to create a more 'enclosed' atmosphere by bringing the mountain ridge behind the lake closer in. I like it!

When I worked in San Francisco some years ago, I did a lot of bike commuting mixed with public transit. Most pedal trips were dullish, but not this particular summer afternoon. Smoke hit my nose before I reached old Mission Creek, then the source. Condeaux aflame!
