Naturalist & author Joy Adamson was murdered #OTD in 1980.

Her book, 𝘉𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦, describes her experiences raising an lion cub named Elsa & was made into an Academy Award–winning movie of the same name. Her ashes were buried in Elsa's grave in Meru National Park in Kenya. #WomenInSTEM #booksky
