We find that there was a decrease in the relative wages for males at the top of the wage distribution. But there was an increase in wages for those in the bottom and middle of the wage distribution.
In the paper, we investigate income differentials in the labor market among young Brazilian adults across their birth cohorts. It investigates whether the same process of wage decline for young adults is observed in more recent cohorts and what is the role of education on this change.
