2012 Nobel laureate John Gurdon has died. His work was central to both the development of animal cloning and the possibility of reprogramming cells to a different state. A giant of cell and developmental biology.

I just demonstrated to my husband how difficult it was for me to find out that I was eligible because I am on biologics - so many steps/clicks.... and I am still not sure whether I'll be turned away once I arrive at the pharmacy!

Finally!!! The real scandal of the asylum hotels. Why, instead of shining the light on these parasites, months were spent on demonising vulnerable people at their mercy?

I almost read this as AI 'in vain' - could be an allegory for AI, same hype, same hope, same disillusion

It is absolutely scandalous NHS England, despite the mountain of evidence for aerosol spread, is still giving advice on preventing Covid29 infection in infants as if it is droplet spread

I could ask - I don't know them really but their research group

Yes, I have to confess the jargon is really off-putting. The topic is interesting though, that is to say, to look at metaphors in science that become sites of resistance - why and how (what's the argument). The focus on practical consequences might be too narrow, perhaps.
