I loved it! There are even some faint connections with my own family history (a cousin of my grandmother's lived in Greece and was hanged by the Germans in 1945, and my mother has been researching this history in recent years), which made me appreciate the historical contextualization even more.

My experience as Synthese EiC has informed this recent paper of mine, on why peer review is ultimately unsustainable. As I see it now, editors must desk-reject copiously, it's the only 'solution', but of course it has lots of downsides too.
