Got a question about “feminist international relations “ you can’t find an answer to …?

Any good thoughts out there …? Anywhere…? 😫

Every now again it’s useful to repeat advice about accessing papers that are behind a paywall that excludes you. Email the author. My estimate is that 90% of academics are so thrilled that a living, breathing, possibly even reading, person shows interest that they will swiftly send you a copy.

…. and … is Keir starmer’s comment in response to the election results that “we need to deliver our agenda faster” directly translated as “we’re very happy to have farage as the next prime minister” — yes …? 🧐🧐🥴

Intriguing how frequently the word “ideology” is now used in“public/media chit/chat” …. (especially US/UK). And so badly/wrongly🤬… it’s kind of hilarious (😩) when a politician or councillor says “let’s get ideology out of politics!” Erm …..🫤

As David Graeber said (paraphrased) & Birmingham proves: if nurses, mechanics, garbage collectors vanish, the effects will be catastrophic; without teachers, dock-workers, science-fiction writers we'd be lessened; without private equity CEOs, lobbyists, telemarketers & bailiffs things would improve.

It is always worth knowing what the powerful mean when they use terms like "the economy."
"It used to be 'the economy'
was the way we provide
people with food, shelter
and other necessities to
keep them alive. Now we're
all supposed to die for the
sake of the economy. What
is this thing they're talking
about. Is it just code for rich
people, Class power, or what?"
.
