Yeah but Biden never complained about “DEI.”

Frank Miranda, a U.S. citizen was arrested by ICE and held for hours without explanation. The ICE officer threatened: "We’re gonna put you in cuffs or you’re gonna get the dog."

And these assholes have the gall to complain about "DEI."

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

Perfect synopsis of why it would be absurd for Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize this year.

Such important commentary from @jeremymberg.bsky.social “remaining quiet is…misguided. Silence may protect an institution from becoming an early target, but history shows that it increases the likelihood that that institution (and many others) will be become targets over time” tinyurl.com/5yzk4k5t

It is very telling that behind Trump stand senior HHS officials. They literally stand behind the most obvious falsehoods, which tells you all you need to know about how much faith you should put in any statements they make about the science of public health

Trump: "Portland, I mean -- every time I look at that place it's burning down. There are fires all over the place. When a store -- there are very few of them left -- but when a store owner rebuilds a store they build it out of plywood. They don't put up storefronts anymore. They just put wood up."

This is not a border crossing.
There’s no law that any of us have to show our papers on the interior.

This is a blatant civil rights violation. How is anyone supposed to know whether this man is a real ICE agent or just pretending to be one?!

We live in a country where the government honors insurrectionists who sacked the Capitol, and defines peaceful protest, even before it occurs, to be terrorism.
They know their position is weak, they know they are unpopular, which is why they are seeking to stamp out dissent.

Mike Johnson: "We're so angry about it. I mean, I'm a very patient guy, but I've had it with these people. The theory we have right now -- they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's the pro-Hamas wing and antifa people ... "

Bouncing paychecks for uniformed military, even temporarily, is one of the danger zones that national governments shouldn't even play with. The shutdown is not - hasn't ever been - good, but unpaid troops are sort of thing that underlay the problems which we had a little convention in 1787 about.

The president says there are very few stores left in Portland, Oregon, and the ones that are left are made of plywood.

I know we’re numb to this, but in any other time he’d have been removed by the 25th Amendment by now

EL PASO — a family says ICE showed up at their house looking for migrants and shot and KILLED THEIR DOG, then didn’t help them as the agent ran away and was not identified.

• The vast majority of National Guard members have day jobs or are enrolled in school.

• Close to half of them are parents.

• They are being deployed in their own country while the public overwhelmingly opposes it.

• They are not even being paid due to the government shutdown.

Apart from helping Comey's selective prosecution defense, this also means the president of the United States uses direct messages on Truth Social to communicate with cabinet officials.

I didn't know that, but we can be sure intelligence agencies all over the planet already did.

That would be funny. What I don't understand, then, is why Trump's so desperate for them to not be released?

You know what I think would be the absolutely funniest outcome of the whole Epstein Files thing?

They get released and Trump's name is nowhere to be found except in incidental mentions that don't show any criminality.

And people realize that Johnson and the MAGA loons just ASSUMED he was involved.

It was incredibly moving to hear Prof Nickel and other non-citizen professors testify in court about the ways in which the arrests and deportations of students had affected them and their colleagues. So grateful to them for their integrity and courage. www.thecrimson.com/article/2025...

Have you put out any similar calls about working in men's offices? Or is it only female legislators that get this treatment?
