Maybe firing all the competent FBI agents that were deemed insufficiently loyal to Trump was a bad idea.

This goes in the same category of Marco Rubio giving the middle finger to the visual impaired via font choice. But I also wonder if Trump comes off as even dumber when translated into American Sign Language. Pity the poor translators that have to try to make sense of his rambling.
Sign language services 'intrude' on Trump's ability to control his image, administration says
The Trump administration is arguing that requiring real-time American Sign Language interpretation of events like White House press briefings “would severely intrude on the President’s prerogative to ...

I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

We're half a decade into studies finding that improving airflow in classrooms will reduce disease transmission enormously, and that bleaching surfaces etc. does very little. And yet nothing changes. Waves of flu and colds wash over schools, and the schools pretend it's an act of God.

I'm not sure it's in the self interest of America's tech bro billionaires to suggest that we bring back public executions to punish the most destructive people in our society.
A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

Gonna be interesting to see how many infectious disease programs fill today; last year 50.8% of programs filled

What will be the impact of an HHS secretary/FDA leadership openly hostile to the field? The impact of a decimated public health system? The fact that salaries are lower than most others?🤔

The worst part about the boat strikes - regardless of who ordered what and besides the ultimate tragedy of lives lost - is they’re forever a stain on the professionalism and dignity of the United States military.

They’re an insult to every American who ever sacrificed to do the right thing.

The scene at the end of The Black Hole where the crazy Nemo-ish scientist and his scary robot Maximillian are in hell freaked me out when I was a kid.
Oh hell yeah! Memory....

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

The CDC has been overrun by quacks, grifters, and eugenicists. It's now operating as an anti-CDC; nothing coming out of it can be trusted. We need to establish some sort of Shadow CDC to continue the original CDC's mission and counter the harmful effects of the Corrupted CDC.

If Congressional Republicans followed the Constitution, both of these would be removable offenses. But, they’re loyal to Trump, not the constitution.

We can't convince universities to stop hiring Gordon Gee, so I don't know how we push for there to be any consequences for betraying the country for a few research grants. But it feels like figuring that out will be necessary.
