Just listened to this episode - excellent and informative as ever. Clearly student debts should be cancelled and alternative funding sought for HE, but that got me thinking: where would the money come from? And, come to that, where does the money come from when a student loan is written off?
A real shame if this photo went viral again today.

I am definitely thinking of (but may be misremembering) a Bavarian King featured in Martyn Rady's The Middle Kingdoms. Shame my memory doesn't match my interest!

I know it's not a poll, but Ludwig II gets my vote. Was he the one who spent huge sums of money getting dwarves jumping out of cakes?

“The United Kingdom, as a guardian of the Nuremberg principles, has a duty to condemn the United States for this breach of international law”

When will we see the UK condemning this attack on Venezuela?

Is there any legal justification for the US attack on Venezuela?

I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

Who remembers that Brexit campaign slogan from 2016? 🤔
Powerful piece by @drrachelclarke.com on the COVID inquiry. Those who say it’s easy to be wise in hindsight are being utterly disingenuous. Many of us spoke out at the time, and it’s in the public record.

Have written for the New Statesman about why, if he will not accept an apology, the BBC should welcome a Trump lawsuit. They should show guts and fight it because impartially matters and if they don't, they will have tacitly accepted a rewritten history.
