Wow, wow, wow. This has always been legally possible but the law has virtually never been enforced — and now this is the SECOND case I've heard of in the last month (first involving a person with a green card) of a noncitizen being charged for failure to carry their papers.

NEWS: ICE gave a Rogers Park man a $130 ticket for not having his papers on him. They rounded him up last week and eventually let him go, but not without a fine that some critics say is un-American. Trump admin enforcing little-used law

But, because immigration law wouldn't be immigration law without some exceptions, A and G diplomats and Canadian Jay Treaty beneficiaries do not.

(If you have to ask if you're one of these, you are not.)

They're clearly not trying very hard then.

The White House has had nearly a month to come up with some talking points on Tom Homan’s cash-in-a-Cava-bag scandal.

The latest comments from JD Vance and Pam Bondi suggested that Team Trump still hasn’t come up with much of a defense. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

Let's start with the least useful position in the federal government. Say, one once compared unfavorably to a bucket of warm piss.

Vice President JD Vance on Sunday said there will be deeper cuts to the federal workforce the longer the government shutdown goes on, adding to the uncertainty facing hundreds of thousands who are already furloughed without pay amid the stalemate in Congress.

They make up lies about paid agitators doing violence, and attach them to the name of a prominent Jewish person. This is antisemitism, and it infects every part of the GOP.

Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."
