The US didn't just abandon transit after WWII, states actively destroyed transit capacity and the scorched earth never recovered.

For example: the Third Av line in Manhattan went down in 1955 and it took 61 years to build the 2nd Av line. A Biblical 40 years in the desert would have been better!

It was made for an audience shuffling between Times Square and the Meadowlands and staying in NYC hotels, and I think that's partly the key: have a defined scope and you can simplify/expand as necessary.

In a democracy, the rule of law must be sacred - impartial, objective, and above politics. When the law is weaponized or manipulated to advance political agendas, it erodes public trust and weakens the very foundation of justice. Whether it comes from the right or the left, from prosecutors or politicians, the politicization of law enforcement is dangerous and corrosive.
