I've lived in a few states, and the fewest elections I've experienced per year is two (primary + general). Never occurred toe there were places that went more than 6 months without some sort of election.

Anyway, SNAP should be universal. Just like school lunches in NYC. Not everyone needs it to survive but everybody gets it, no means testing.

There should also be a lot fewer regulations on what you can buy with SNAP and discounts, not bans, on hot prepared foods.

Now, I also know some wealthy MAGA whose view of the world is warped by their poor treatment of everyone in their lives, and I have less empathy 2/

If only it were that simple. For a variety of reasons, these folks are convinced that most Dems hate them. The highly educated in fact often dismiss and denigrate them. They feel ignored because their issues get little public attention (often rightfully so as they aren't as serious, but 1/

Don't I know it (the aforementioned folks are almost all Ohioans born & raised—my extended family).

Except, most of them aren't (directly at least) impacted by influencers other than their own parents. Dems will take their guns and raise their taxes is an unshakeable ground truth.
