Imagining the consequnces if all the, currrently hyperactive, vexillophiles became guerilla gardeners.
Government, whether Lab, Con, Ref or Lib, would clamp down hard. Possession of a trowel would get you 10 years inside. The RHS would become a proscribed terrorist organisation.

Thought we might still have some at the back of a cupboard, but no. Ajax was the other one. We occasionally did some ancient history at school and there used to be tittering when Ajax was mentioned. One of them used to turn blue when wetted.

I was rather on the fence about it - the "real" stuff, not Fry's. I do like the taste of rose (and violet) in things, but it has to be the genuine article, and, usually, it wasn't.

Some years ago I ordered some small electrical components from a hardwear supplier. They sent me 47 pairs of door handles. When I rang customer service, and said what had arrived, the cheerful Geordie on the other end of the call paused for a second and then asked "D'ya live in a big hoose?"

Ordered new curtains for the guest bedroom for my uncle and aunt’s stay, as I noticed I’d somehow got paint on the old ones.

The new ones arrived the morning of their arrival. Except Amazon had sent me three bras.

Ordered NEW new ones. That the USPS did a number on. They arrive today. A day late.
