This is about Mamdani but I think it applies to Harrell vs. Wilson too. People are just really sick of being told that things that could measurably improve their lives are unrealistic by "experienced" moderates. Nobody wants the adult in the room if they're gonna treat everyone like a child.

Harrell didn't even have a written plan for what he wanted to do with a second term on his website before the primary. His "One Seattle Vision" page (which honestly now has a lot of great stuff there — much of it seemingly inspired by Wilson) only showed up sometime afterwards.

Well said by AMR: "We can't manage what we don't measure. If we're serious about climate action and equity, we need to know how our transportation investments are moving the needle..."
