That dog is hit again. That slow.dog is hit again. With his see-through skin. The kind of skin you can see through. He’s shot again.

after millions of views and shares of my Portland Frog art. (thank you all🙏🏾) I got requests to highlight priests, and chickens, and Chicagoans, and T-Rexes, and more… all of us who refuse to bend the knee. so this is for US.

So is my current state of autistic burnout in a “just do a comfort rewatch” place or a “maybe watch that Hunger Games prequel” place. It’s tricky, because are my resource levels in need of a known signal or an unknown signal in order to regulate.
bixfrankonis.bsky.social
Two decades ago at New Old Lompoc for Red Sox postseason, the signal went out and I tried to connect my iPhone to their stereo to at least play the radio feed.

The Virginia Senate just told UVA it’s not getting state funding if it accepts the compact since UVA exists to serve Virginia, its residents, & their interests—not be a tool of the federal govt. No idea if it was a new experience for the vet staff but it could not have gone more smoothly.
bixfrankonis.bsky.social
This is basically r/Portland the last three weeks.
bixfrankonis.bsky.social
Surprise surprise: to my knowledge I’ve never been either happenstantially or deliberately nonverbal but how much further dysregulated I felt after 40 minutes of therapy now has me writing out things in Apple Notes to show people at the vet instead of talking. New experience for me.
bixfrankonis.bsky.social
Everything is dysregulated and I’m body tired despite not doing anything so now there’s a mood dive and I still have to get my cat to a 4:40pm appointment and not have a meltdown in the bright claustrophobic exam room because the exertion is happening when I should be respecting autistic burnout.

To further litigate an off-topic pet peeve though - Oregon's public meetings law prevents the sponsor(s) of legislation from soliciting and gathering co-sponsors in advance beyond a quorum. This is a perfect example of an item that should be co-sponsored by the entire council at this agenda stage.

Looks like yet another late night at next week's evening Portland City Council meeting -- but in a good way this time. #WarRavagedPortland fights back.
Two big agenda items on next Wednesday evening's City Council agenda: a resolution denouncing attempts to deploy the military, and an ordinance to specifically codify sanctuary city protections.

It’s wild to see the Pope, street gangs, police, protestors, regular people who would have been unnatural allies to say the least, coming together because everyone understands that ICE is the new Gestapo and we have a duty to stop them.

And then you have police union president Aaron Schmautz lol

EXCLUSIVE — DHS Acting General Counsel sent out a memo Wednesday to all Federal Protective Service staff (the sub-agency that guards federal buildings) letting officers know they could take any action necessary "in the vicinity" federal property to protect themselves.

The Handbasket reports:
DHS top lawyer says 'no legal barrier' to actions officers can take to defend federal property
In a memo obtained exclusively by The Handbasket, Federal Protective Service (FPS) officers were given free rein.

I believe the video highlights a pervasive cultural bias that favors drivers and is skeptical of bicycle riders, and it shows how that bias plays out in some police-cyclist interactions.

"My suggestion would be to use the bike lane... you easily could have moved over and prevented that hostile situation... you guys are both ignorant, you guys both instigated each other." - PPB Officer Kyle Williams to a @bikeleague.org certified cycling instructor
