That dog is hit again.
That slow.dog is hit again.
With his see-through skin.
The kind of skin you can see through.
He’s shot again.
It’s almost time for the best moment of the year.

Whoa, power blip in #StJohns. Guess I should download some television in case. #PDX

Oh someone else remembers this show.
My favorite show as a child was TV Ontario’s READ ALL ABOUT IT, about three kids who decide to start a local newspaper…and discover two sentient computers…and a portal to another dimension…ruled by a floating evil green head…whose alternate identity was the town’s mayor.

We watched in class, btw.
I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

"Runctitiononal features"? "Medical fymblal"? "1 Tol Line storee"? This gets worse the longer you look at it. But it's got to be good, because it was published in Nature Scientific Reports last week: www.nature.com/articles/s41... h/t @asa.tsbalans.se

Everyone knows data centers use a ton of water.

What hardly anyone knows: they can poison the water that remains.

And in eastern Oregon, Amazon is doing exactly that.
AI’s water problem is worse than we thought
A new investigation reveals how Amazon is amplifying Oregon’s nitrate pollution crisis.

The core of my annual #Pangsgiving lineup:

- “Turkeys Away”
- “Pangs”
- “Shibboleth“
- “The Indians in the Lobby”

I’m still debating whether or not to conclude with The Humans again this year.

The reason that we reporters are focused so intensely on the L'affair Nuzzi is that, as Olivia notes, it is a basically apocalyptic scandal in the most literal sense of that term: a dropping of masks. It's acting as confirmation of every hideous story anybody's ever told about political journalists
this was bad before, but these are the most troubling and serious allegations you can make about a journalist. if they’re true, i genuinely can’t think of a worse scandal in the history of political journalism. devastating to our industry, to public trust as a whole, and to everyone in its orbit

If writing is so easy why do people argue that they can’t do it without the pablumatic verbiage extruder

And if it’s so difficult then why do people think it’s not labour and writers are not workers

Unlike previous years, many years back now, when I would get Thanksgiving dinner from a store and do “serves 4-6” so I’d have second helping and leftovers, this year’s isn’t literally in like a 4-person batch of turkey breast, it’s an entire shrink-pack cooked turkey breast.

“folks” is a perfectly good non-gendered term and you just decided to Hot Topic it to be edgy
I do not understand the point of “folx“ AT ALL
