The conclusions in this thread (which you should read all of) about the role that Cultural Christianity has to play in the perspectives of so many Westerners toward Jews and why theories like this are so popular on the left nowadays, are completely accurate and something I’ve struggled to describe.

I’ve got a theory as to why the online left seems increasingly into the Khazar myth, which used to be the fringiest of far-right antisemitism (at least among white people—it was also popular among NOI/BHI, but I’m not touching that one).

The right wing American condescendingly lectures South Americans on how beneficial their far right dictators supposedly are for them. While the far-left American insists they are opposed to that, as they condescendingly lecture South Americans on how beneficial their far-left dictators are.

Let me guess: she’s not challenging a Republican, because that might actually reduce Trump’s hold on institutional power. She’s running against a Democrat, because those damn liberals weren’t taught enough of a lesson last November.

Why are these grifting hacks allowed to keep doing this?

Man you will see teenagers who couldn't point to the near east on a map call things "spiritually Israeli" as a synonym for "money grubbing", it is EVERYWHERE
bluelion70.bsky.social
That’s what Call of Duty started as. The first three were WWII games where you fought Nazis as the Americans, Brits, and Russians. The third one was the first to have multiplayer, IIRC, and the fourth was Modern Warfare, which put it into a whole other genre of game.

Adelita Grijalva won her election to Congress over two weeks ago, but Mike Johnson still hasn't sworn her in.

Why the delay?

Perhaps it's because Grijalva would cast the final vote needed to release the Epstein files.

Cry about it more, on the public platform that you interact with freely 😂

I could do this all fucking day.

It’s so hilarious that you morons accuse US of having a victim complex, when the entirety of western culture is built off Christian tradition whereby being persecuted is seen as a badge of honor, and victimhood is a social currency.

Complaining that the US Congress was undeservedly deferential to Benjamin Netanyahu when he spoke before them is not antisemtic. Complaining that amorphous and undefined groups that are stand-ins for (((the Jews))) own and control the US government IS antisemitic. Do you see the difference?
bluelion70.bsky.social
Stating that the Palestinian people are indigenous to the Levant and deserve self-determination in their own nation is not antisemitic. Stating that Israeli Jews are Khazar converts and European settlers who should all just go back to Poland IS antisemitic. Do you see the difference?
bluelion70.bsky.social
Protesting the war in Gaza is not antisemitic. Protesting the war in Gaza and celebrating the anniversary of Hamas’s rapes, mutilations, and murders as “resistance” IS antisemitic. Do you see the difference?
bluelion70.bsky.social
That depends entirely on *the way in which* someone is protesting, obviously.

Are you clicktivists genuinely so stupid that you cannot understand that distinction, or are you just so bigoted that you don’t care?
bluelion70.bsky.social
So you don’t have anyone specific in mind when you say that, just (((those))) orgs you don’t like?

This is why you fail to beat the allegation so often. When your arguments are faced with the barest level of scrutiny, they completely fall apart because they are based in medieval stereotypes.
bluelion70.bsky.social
I didn’t claim that you meant it that way. My assumption was that you didn’t mean it that way, which is why I asked what you did mean.

Keep on crying about how you’re being silenced though, that one always works. I wonder what secret power Jews have that enable to engage in such practices…
bluelion70.bsky.social
Define “the Israel lobby” please.

I’m trying to figure out who you mean when you say that, assuming it’s not just “Jews”.
bluelion70.bsky.social
Remember what we used to say about 9 people sitting at a table with 1 Nazi?

It’s so funny, how that standard just does not apply on the left.
bluelion70.bsky.social
your great great whatever grandparents were using to justify why they had to rob, rape, and kill Jews while burning their homes and businesses to the ground.

We’ve heard it before, and you are no different.

You’re not smart. You’re not subtle. You’re not a good person. We will outlast you.
bluelion70.bsky.social
I love how you dipshits think that you can take any concept that has been deemed bad at this moment in our society and just add “Jewish” to it, and you think you’re making some profound statements about the state of the world rather than just rehashing the same tired old bigotries that

I’m certainly better than an ignorant child who learned how to find Gaza on a map in 2024 because TikTok told him it was cool to hate Jews again.

But that’s more about education, curiosity, and a capacity for reason than anything else, and has nothing to do with ethnicity.
bluelion70.bsky.social
Not all of us learned about history and geopolitics from TikTok, why is why we say things that find so confusing. Try books, ideally primary sources, from a wide variety of authors.

It will serve you better in the long run, and you might just gain a clue what you’re talking about.

I could only play N64 or Age of Empires for so long before I was sent outside, or told reminded about chores, or just told to turn it off and read a book.

And it annoyed the shit out of me, from ages 8 to 17. But it was better than letting me just melt my brain as much as I wanted.
bluelion70.bsky.social
better off I am because she enforced those limits. I wasn’t cut off, I could watch weekend cartoons and pick my two shows to watch during the week (BTVS and Charmed, obviously) but I didn’t have freedom to watch whatever I wanted.
bluelion70.bsky.social
It’s about moderation, I think. Your parents were one end of the extreme, and on the other end is the parents of “ipadkids”.

I hated my mom for limiting us to 2 hours of tv per week (Saturday not included) and putting limits on my time on the computer, but as an adult I can visibly see how much
bluelion70.bsky.social
Hell, even within a game where I’m actually playing as my own family in one corner of the world, all I have to do is move to a different portion of the map that’s beyond my diplomatic range, and I can watch the AI just playing against itself in a region of the map that I am nowhere close to.
bluelion70.bsky.social
The fact that “observer mode” even exists is proof of what you’re saying, at a fundamental game design level: they know that some people want to do this, and therefore included the option.
