Other than "run a charismatic candidate who talks like a normal person and excites voters", I don't think there are many lessons to be learned in ANY direction. Too many NYC-specific variables.

Yes, but this isn’t just something that occurs in a vacuum. It is the end result of the foundational level which anti-Jewish bigotry is baked into Western thought and culture, regardless of political or economic ideology.
The hard truth is that Jewish people and orgs are perceived as having much more power and influence than we do - in front of and behind the scenes. This is a fact for the Left and the Right. So the Left protesting a synagogue is seen as "speaking Truth to Power."
