Institutionally, Jews were invested (sometimes paternalistically and hierarchically, granted) in the fates of Jews in other parts of the world *as Jews* and there are travelogues and educational/charitable networks that attest to this throughout the 17th-19th century. I teach abt some in my classes.

When prices were going up under Biden there was a constant deluge of news stories about it because the media did not like Biden and wanted him to lose. Under Trump there is not a constant deluge of news stories about coffee prices because they like Trump and want him to win

@mit.edu has done an incredibly important service to the nation by being willing to be the first school to reject the administration's "compact."

President Kornbluth focuses—and she's right—on the principle that "scientific funding should be based on scientific merit alone."

The document also includes principles with which we disagree, including those that would restrict freedom of expression and our independence as an institution. And fundamentally, the premise of the document is inconsistent with our core belief that scientific funding should be based on scientific merit alone.

This is from a list of people who go to Lutheran communion in Neustadt-Aisch. I was looking for soldiers, because if they not only go to church in town but also receive communion, it implies they're integrated with the locals. Many of the soldiers here were from a regiment of Gallas's dragoons.
