Believe it or not, observers are generally aware that we and our vehicles are known to the feds, and as such, there’s a pretty strict firewall between observers and vulnerable people
How do you think they get ideas of where to go to pick up people? They use locals! Mostly it's cops and other types like that; but its not that sophisticated to just mark and follow people ( which we have all heard they do.) You think tracking their phone b/c they have his number isn't happening to?

Seeing this on Bluesky is great. There really was/is this idea that you shouldn't worry too much about crime, and I understand concerns about law enforcement doing it right, but crime is bad for cities and transit and nobody should pretend otherwise.

I kinda love God’s running joke where we keep blowing up balloons with increasingly high tech wunderwaffen. We started with F-22s, worked our way up to laser cannons. Next it’ll be a killer robot or a human-alien hybrid or a black hole generator.
