Hello Wild Walk #writers

There is a tunnel at the far corner of the lake,
I always think it looks like the doorway to another world.

I step closer,
eyes catching
the line,
folding upon
itself endlessly.
Corners turn
with quiet intent,
predictable yet alive.
My gaze follows,
my breath softens.
Movement slows,
thought eases.
The pattern
opens a space,
and I settle into
its ordered rhythm.

Follow the tunnel
And you might find
Another land
Trapped in time
Where faeries fly
And elves still sing
Just take the chance
Remember you dreams

had a few friends who were more damaged through fake optimism and did not understand the road can be very tough. I miss a couple of them.

Prompt for 30 October

-Tempting fate-
Living on the edge, always looking for that sense of adventure with a taste of danger. Willing to explore while knowing the possibilities is tempting fate.

Costumed features
fell like autumn leaves—
painted gold and crimson,
concealing the damp beneath.
They clung to the
slick country road,
shimmering in puddles,
settling under gray skies,
a fleeting display of
color in the quiet rain.

Short Poem of the Day 📝

Clay

I wish there were thirteen gods in the sky,
even twelve might achieve it:
Or even one god in me: Alone,
I can't shape an image of her.

Oh duplicitous creature
eyes red and sore
out on the prowl
Why do you leave
my bed so cold
slipping away
as darkness fills the sky
following a scent
stalking dark dingy bars
like a night hawk
that prospers
on weary soul's
vulnerability

Short Poem of the Day 📝

At Slumber's Door

My love, drift away into sweet sleep
dream your way into a lovely paradise
holding my hand and kissing my lips
until sunrise and
I awake in your arms.
