I’d give Alfred a go at being Spectre, but choose to wait his time with the spirit out rather than enact vengeance upon anyone because he had seen enough of that in life.

The Specks’s telling of his own origin will tie into the original Spectre’s, Jim Corrigan. He was an Imp named Corri Jimgan who was visiting an Earth one day when he was bonked on the head by a guy buried in a block of cement (Jim Corrigan) and woke up only to discover he had become the Specks.

Sue continues to operate as a light version of the Spectre, preferring to call herself a spirit of redemption and offering people a way to make amends. She is extremely vulnerable to magic and her powers fade if Ralph’s spirit is nearby. The Specks offers her occasional support and comedic relief.

Sue would meet the Spectre of the 5th Dimension, The Specks, who would look like an Imp version of the Ralph Dibny Spectre. The Specks would bestow a far less omnipotent version of Spectre’s powers upon Sue to help her continue.

Sue Dibny becomes the Spectre, but uses her time to investigate the Spectre itself after learning she’s succeeded her husband, Ralph, as host. Eventually her spirit and the Spectre become enemies of each other after she learns too much.

Exactly. Hank is selected, but if he’s able to be selected as host of Spectre, then what is Cyborg Superman and why does it think it’s Hank Henshaw? Can they both be Hank? Is part of his soul departed while the other remains and driven mad by the separation?

Like Ralph Dibny will use his time as Spectre to wrap up old cases of his, Danny Chase will use it to take out Teen Titan foes who have hurt his old teammates, Martha Wayne will use it to give Bruce a few quiet nights, etc.

I want it to be a title where older characters who have been gone or dead for a while get the spotlight. So you get to see heroes like Ralph Dibny or Danny Chase take on shifts as the Spectre.

For me it’s the Spectre. I really want to make Spectre an anthology horror series/mystery series where the host of the Spectre isn’t even always the same from issue to issue.
