“Who was president in 2020?” is the question of our time.

I wrote a substack about this on Friday! This isn’t an accident.

At least 6 vehicles racing through a quiet suburban neighborhood; multiple agents, all of them armed and masked.

the excessive response plus the violence against this 15 year old girl is outrageous.

Will never get over that after a once-in-a-century pandemic, we reelected someone who not only mishandled it poorly, but intended to dismantle readiness for the next pandemic. And he’s doing just that with that moronic crank, RFK.

It's really sad how people struggling to free or defend their countries, like Zelensky and this woman, have to repeatedly debase themselves in front of this man because there is no longer any responsible leader of the Free World.

Trump: "The person who actually got the Nobel Prize called today, called me, and said 'I'm accepting this in honor of you, because you really deserved it.' A really nice thing to do. I didn't say 'Then give it to me, though.'"

Maybe it's because I'm a parent, but avoidable harm to kids really gets to me. My kids can be difficult when they don't get an afternoon snack at the usual time. I'm sure various parents and teachers can say the same. Watching a kid starve to death? And the US govt did it on purpose?
Unconscionable.

The elimination of USAID is a moral atrocity and all involved made a choice to enable, and then lie about, ending the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
MAE SOT, Thailand (AP) - Mohammed Taher clutched the lifeless body of his 2-year-old son and wept. Ever since his family's food rations stopped arriving at their internment camp in Myanmar in April, the father had watched helplessly as his once-vibrant baby boy weakened, suffering from diarrhea and begging for food.
On May 21, exactly two weeks after Taher's little boy died, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat before Congress and declared: "No one has died" because of his government's decision to gut its foreign aid program. Rubio also insisted: "No children are dying on my watch."
That, Taher says, "is a lie."

"President Trump continued to describe Portland as a city on fire Friday even as residents enjoyed the first fall rain and the lone demonstrator at the city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement building was dressed as a pink Care Bear."

Sometimes there is a good sentence or two in the NYT.

If I may, I’d swap out “ambitious” with “authoritarian.”

Not that someone foreign-born needs to achieve a Nobel prize to be worthy of dignity and compassion, but in terms of the brain gain aspect, we mess with this at our peril. And it’s also a form of soft power, too.

Congratulations to Maria Corina Machado, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize - her incredible optimism has already changed her country. I spoke to her, and wrote about her, at the beginning of this year:

I saw this on my FB feed. Apparently, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson is at my old stomping grounds of Miami University - Hamilton just down the road from me. This quote is great:

Donald Trump is not a king — and his administration is not above the law.

Today, the court confirmed what we all know: there is no credible evidence of a rebellion in the state of Illinois.

And no place for the National Guard in the streets of American cities like Chicago.

Again, Trump has crossed a Red Line no president has ever crossed: personally ordering the criminal prosecution of an American he doesn't like despite DOJ not finding evidence of any crime.

If Trump can do this to the powerful, he can do it to you. That's not freedom, and its not America.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

He’s a damn moron, but I can’t help but reiterate that I need the next Democratic president to fix the oval office. It looks atrocious.

Trump: "I also did a cognitive exam. Which is always very risky because if I didn't do well, you'd be the first to be blaring it and I had a perfect score. And one of the doctors said he's almost never seen a perfect score. I had a perfect score. That made me well good ... not the easiest test."
