Nooo! Not Barron! He's so young! He's still a boy!

I guess we're supposed to hide special needs people away, like in the 1930s or 40s, so Bobby and Donny don't have to see them.

Wait, that means the NYT is bothsidesing this. Voting for Trump, a weirdo fascist, is The Same as voting for a liberal.

Think about how for decades, one of the ingredients of a crackpot was: retired engineer.

Retired engineers, for *generations* have been a fertile ground for crackpot theories in everything.

They get that golden watch and bam, incoherent manifesto about quantum archeology inbound.

Honestly, that was my guess, except I have never been able to see Trump as charismatic, especially in the way that MAGA media portrays him. So I experienced a little cognitive dissonance

Is Robin old enough to drive? For some reason, I have him at about 13 or 14, too young for a driver's license in most states.

I don't subscribe. I'll guess it has to do with the pleasure of voting for someone with principles, vs Trump winning partially because NYT in particular, and mass media in general, treated him very favorably because their Oligarch owners want Trump to rule us like a king.

What's my prize, Johnny?

Too bad nobody with a national news following has made this clear.

There's not much publicly available on this but what little there is says tabulator counts are faster and more accurate than hand counts

If you've got other references, I'd love to read them.

Colorado does risk limiting audits on all elections, I believe. The procedure used only gives you statistical confidence, but it's very good at detecting wrongly declared winners.

I confess I didn't look at OR and WA as closely.

There is no reason not to use tabulators, lots of reasons not to use voting machines.

People who peddle mistrust of tabulators think they are better than you, their preferences should decide and yours ignored. They are charlatans and bullies.
bruceediger.bsky.social
People like Mike Lindell are confusing tabulating with voting. Tina Peters, convicted Qanon election interferer, seems to have allowed someone to tamper with tabulator software, because Mesa County Colorado was able to do a complete hand recount. And got the same results.

You can look up "colorado risk limiting audits" to see how Colorado does things. Tabulators can be, and are above board, and verifiable. It's easy to duplicate and try out the audit method. I've done that: bruceediger.com/posts/risk-l...

They're conflating two things:

Tabulators mechanically/electronically count ballots

Voting machines present a ballot representation to the voter, accept inputs, then tally inputs

Tabulators are common. Ballots exist outside the machine, verifiable. Vote by mail states use these, and verify.

Does Thune have anything going for him other than height and good hair?

The thing is, they're almost certainly lying. If we've discovered anything about conservatives, we've discovered they lie constantly.

Gotta give them catchy names, like "Morpefa", or "Optifa", so that the Boomers and the news anchors feel cool talking about them, and don't have to work to figure out what Morpefa is all about.
