My momma bestie is my auntie
My auntie friend that go to her church is also my auntie
My 75 year old cousin... is also my auntie

"Auntie" is what happens when you understand the expansive proposition of family

"That's not your aunt" is what happens when you live outside of restorative community
LOL yall gotta stop with this. retire this please 😭
Also, if you are eating "gumbo" without okra in it, you're not eating gumbo. The word gumbo itself mean okra. It's in the name!

To put this in context, billionaire wealth is up around 12-15% over the last year

Which means that this 5% tax worth $100B isn't even half of the wealth that billionaires in California have gained in the LAST YEAR ALONE.
California may vote on a one-time 5% tax on billionaire wealth to help the state fund health care for low-income residents after sweeping cuts to Medicaid.

A possible ballot proposal could generate $100 billion, most of which would go toward health care for millions of people.

I cannot tell you how many tech journalists at prominent media organizations do not understand this
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

My new favorite photo of me teaching. I was teaching parents and caregivers of autistic children about sensory processing disorder at the Caregiver Brunch and a sensory seeker from a Parent who didn’t have a babysitter came to stim with me. So I stimmed while continuing to teach.

If you’re looking for items to donate, check for clothing you can donate. If ppl can’t afford food, they can’t afford clothes. The season is changing.

If donating food, don’t forget that important things often forget is cooking oil! Dried spices! Peanut butter! And buy cans with pop-tops!
eggs, grits, and bacon will always be a 5 star meal for me 🥹🥹🥹

Food insecurity is ALWAYS a political choice. Famine is ALWAYS manmade. People go hungry because of other people’s decisions. We have more than enough food for everyone, and enormous amounts of it are wasted—literally thrown in the garbage—on purpose.
