While it is possible they did little or misguided market research

It is also possible they did excellent market research that this guy and others didn't listen to because it didn't match their vibes

Advice given is unfortunately not always advice heard, even when it is high quality
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.
Will likely be a bit spikey, since many servers are paid less than minimum wage.
How does the cost of the robots factor into that?

Hey there. I see you’re interested in food. Well, watch out, because every food tastes different. Just because one food tastes good, that doesn’t mean a different food will taste good too. Well, that’s all. I think you’re ready to start your food journey. Come back if you need that info again.
So bad! I’m looking forward to them slowly walking this design back, just like they did iOS 7.

I don’t begrudge scientists for trying to get their bag but Altman and Musk are not the dudes you wanna lie with. They literally do not care about the relationship between the brain and computers!! They do not respect the interface! I’m crashing out
Sam Altman’s next startup eyes using sound waves to read your brain
This is, perhaps, better than Elon Musk’s approach to reading brains.

I’m sick of billionaires using my former field as a playground for AI apocalypse fantasies.

TMS and ultrasonic stimulation has been around for decades but you want to use it with genetic modification of human brain cells? My guy?!?
Which is why it’s worth paying attention to the organizational machinery that got him there (NYC DSA), as a model for identifying constituent priorities and mobilizing around them.

Your idea ain't shit if it don't playtest well.
What's your number one personal game design principle? And even better - does it have a cool name?
Damn, turns out sensible things are indeed sensible. Thank you 💜
Thank you 💜 the post-polygon scattering was a little difficult to keep track of outside the industry.
What do you turn to when you need to deal with writer’s block?
Other than The Verge, which publications do you recommend subscribing to for great games coverage?
Continuing my goal to get away with weirder and weirder poses in my thumbnails
Any indication when the full-screen OS mode might come to other handhelds like earlier ROG Allys?
if you need a suit, I've got a brooklyn-based suit guy that I really like

An introduction post.
I am a freelance concept artist and illustrator based in western France.
I explore mostly sci-fi themes for movies, games and books.
Furthermore, I am currently working on my first art book, a compilation of personal works.
Are there any other frontier labs worth including in that circle?
we need a dominos pentagon pizza tracker but for startups offloading their gpus (if there's a correction)
I can appreciate that perspective. What types of signals do you pay attention to for the industry?
of course! right now, there are plenty of signs that it is at least marginally useful.
