The worst part is getting to that part where you're stuck and not progressing and need to take a class or watch a video or take out a book. Learning is fun for me until I have to learn learn 🥲

And at the same level as that is a white woman having sex with a black man, people of any gender kissing a black man, a white man caring about a black man. This book is clearly for people who think activism means holding up a tiny sign that says "this is not normal". And it's how They see us today.

The Green Mile is a simple book where a man has adventures at work and comes home to an empty-headed wife who only cooks and serves. It is sprinkled with elements that are supposed to be shocking: blond children getting hurt, someone burning to death, a bus crash, a white Christian woman swearing.
