IDK why the chat rarely sets me off, but I would highly recommend turning it off if you find it unpleasant in the majority of your games.

You play the game how you need to! Honestly, it's rare I get something other than amusement out of chat anyway.

I rarely disable the chat, but I will instantly block/mute a person who is being foolish...unless I'm entertained by their flailing. As for voice, I haven't used that in years because it just wasn't worth the abuse and was overwhelmingly a bad choice.
