I thought this was gonna be about the SAW video games, which are spectacular, like Resident Evil games with just the puzzle part, no combat. Grimy Walking Simulators. "The Witness but M-rated." They're super fun! They even worked with Twisted Pictures and Greutert to make them lore-compliant!

“I Saw the TV Glow” is a tougher watch. That is all I’m saying.

It takes a painful hour to get going. During that hour, you just hate the fact that no one offers any kind of support to the protagonists. At least Christian is giving Dani lip service, and you hope he’ll be punished for it.

I'll grant at least that a limited-character post on a social media website isn't always the best avenue for reading or expounding upon our more nuanced takes and say we can agree to disagree on whether these are comparable movies at all (I haven't seen Midsommar lol)

A film that I’ve only watched once. My expectations were so low, I ended up being floored by the genius I perceived. It was before I ever place a foreign substance in my body. The viewing felt like an out of body experience, and I fear losing that feeling. What if it does not hold up?
