World Naked Bike Ride organizers and other local groups are getting on bikes in the buff to protest the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in South Portland. The demonstration is planned for Sunday Oct 12 at 2:30 pm; now we know the starting spot is Oregon Convention Center Plaza.

Dunno man, seems a little misleading to write an article about Trump describing activity in Portland and Chicago as “insurrection” with a 33 year old photo of a burning donut shop taken in the 1992 LA Riots (sans caption explaining that) as the header on all your posts about it.

As far as I can tell, I'm still subscribed to the lists and their owners can still add accounts to the lists, but you can't share them anymore. I think the word "bigot" in the description is the biggest trigger, so that should tell you something.

All of my block lists besides the one for annoying FB meme posters have been hidden. Out of all the block lists that I subscribed to, most are hidden now except for the content scrapers. There's almost no point in trying to make a moderation list you intend to be public.

Didn’t Zoom have a similar origin? They were developing some office suite with video conferencing that was public beta when COVID shutdown started and everyone needed a free download to WFH. Now they are a video conferencing biz and don’t seem that mad about it.

Update: Just opened up Twitter and this was the first thing in my "for you" feed. Two of those "local journalists" covering the protests at the ICE facility who somehow were able to get a picture of themselves on the roof of that facility. Surely ICE had nothing to do with this, yes?

Helicopters in the evening, then some guerilla rave down by the Springwater Trail thumping until 5AM, then about 7AM the cheering for the marathon started, and power tools will be running all day as we finish some home repairs. Is there any escape, from noise?
