If you don't have a food waste bin or collection some community gardens will be taking them for composting.
We used to compost them in the cemetery because we had no hedgehogs (due to being in the middle of a very built up area so they hadn't managed to get there) after checking with Wildlife Trust

Not a hot take but if you don’t want a gay kid, or a trans kid, or a disabled kid, or an Autistic kid, or an [insert other thing here] kid: DON’T HAVE A KID.

I think there might be 2 real jobs. The person exploiting little people for financial gain was probably a real job too. Sadly.

Of the other 3 rooms, 2 could do with a lick of paint and minor cosmetic upgrades and the shower room will hopefully get a lick of paint soon (it has PINK wallpaper) but actually needs fully gutting at some point when we have money again (18 years?) or the plumbing goes really really wrong 😅

Hopefully not TOO soon- we still have bare plaster in one room - because I'm a diva and insisted on reinstating the picture rail when the plaster wasn't too damaged for that to be feasible. Should be done by the end of the month- making that 7/10 rooms fully renovated before he's born.

I have now yelped out loud from surprise more than pain twice 😂
At night I think he's rehearsing for a ballet?! I haven't had more than 4-5 hours sleep in months, already 😅😅

A bit sore and tired generally, but otherwise not bad.
I feel like I should have bruises from how hard baby can now kick me though and we aren't even at 31 weeks yet?!

I ate so much garlic bread with my uterus crushing my stomach so much that even 3 hours later I am struggling to drink more than a sip of water at a time without it coming back up, but still have no regrets.

My aunt and uncle have filled the car with baby stuff from my cousin's little one to bring to us. Including a next to me cot with a brand new mattress!

Latest report shows more bad news for butterflies 🦋 Several species on the ‘at risk’ list are found in Warwickshire - Small Skipper & Essex Skipper. The main threat is habitat loss so anything you can do in your own space can make a difference 🙏

🚨 The latest European Red List assessment has revealed 65 butterflies are now classed as 'at risk', several of which are species found in the UK.

Urgent action is needed to reverse the declining population of butterflies.

He also said 'you'll die alone'even though he had just diagnosed me with depression too- you couldn't make it up 🤣

Yes, pregnancy does involve blood tests. Yes, I am truly very bad at them (but importantly I am not opting out of them even though I have the right to do so). Yes, I am still glad I'm doing it anyway- 20 years later.
That doctor only retired last year.

I'm still dealing with comments made to me by a doctor when I was 15, even though I didn't internalise the misogynistic part of his message, I did believe the medical part sadly.
'If you can't have blood tests, you can't have a baby, so you'll end up an old maid because no one will love you'.

I love this comic, and it feels extra apt at the moment given that my OH is having to monitor the progress of a blood blister I gave myself last week shaving (with an electric razor- no I don't know how either) somewhere I can't see myself...

I think I understand what you mean- maybe not exactly romantic but certainly very caring!!

Been with my other half 15+ years- not yet seen each other on the toilet, although I'm prepared for the eventuality that this privacy may be suspended soon in the post partum period when I might want someone to hold my hand 😅
I enjoy a private bodily function.

Context for those who don't know- this can mean a lot of things, some of which will absolutely have caused irreversible damage to the stone.
Household chemicals containing acid on marble/limestone & wire brushes are particularly bad offenders.
Water and a soft brush- or hire a REPUTABLE professional

So wild. I also had lightning crotch from baby hitting my cervix at like 11 weeks and felt baby turn a full somersault at like 16 weeks, both of which are very early for a first pregnancy. My sensitivity to the physical sensations of it all is actually why I'm now being assessed for autism & SPD.

I had low blood sugar incessantly (which I hadn't struggled with since my metabolism slowed in my mid 20s), was hornier than I have ever been in my entire life and was constipated as fuck (as a vegetarian?!). I started testing. It took another 6 days for an early test to show as 2-3 weeks pregnant.

Here I am. Once again. I'm out of archaeologists.

We matched 576 groups w/archaeologists, leaving 13 groups unmatched. This brings me pain! We've never run out of scientists like this before. 598 requests for one category is A LOT. But still.

Archaeologists 🥺
