Here I am. Once again. I'm out of archaeologists.

We matched 576 groups w/archaeologists, leaving 13 groups unmatched. This brings me pain! We've never run out of scientists like this before. 598 requests for one category is A LOT. But still.

Archaeologists 🥺

Day 10 of #31DaysOfGraves - Urn

Lichen has really claimed this urn in Kilnaughton, Islay, with its mournful epitaph below:

And you'll sometimes come and see me
Where I am lowly laid
I shall not forget you father
I shall hear when you pass
With your feet above my head
In the long and pleasant grass

I would drop them an email and let them know removal is an issue so they can swap sticker supplier.
A travel size bottle might be a good investment though- I use it on all kinds of sticky stuff - like when the nurse puts micropore tape on my arm after a jab 😂

Let’s make different political choices.

For decades now British people have been told to simply swallow austerity. They’ve been told that the NHS needs cuts, that libraries need closing and that child poverty can’t be tackled.

Greens say: Bullshit!
Join the Green Party today.

The web developer I was working with took his laptop down the garden so I could meet his chickens one day. I'll never forget that. Or my colleague's neighbours cat wandering in and out of all her calls because she had the door open to the garden where her kids were playing on the patio.

A great article from Rachel, who really understands the heart and soul of Dad’s work.

Do I know anyone who could tell us if our roofer has replaced the lead flashing on our chimney properly or not? I'm not sure what I'm looking at TBH.

Because it feels relevant as we continue to evaluate the media and our representatives’ statements, my favorite way to identify the active vs. passive voice.
A post by Rebecca Johnson:
“I finally learned how to teach my guys to ID the passive voice. If you can insert "by zombies" after the verb, you have passive voice.”

A tumblr respond from mightymur:
“The final, brilliant word on passive voice.
"She was killed [by zombies.]"<--passive
"Zombies killed [by zombies] her." <-- active”

🐹 Before viral videos on TikTok or YouTube, there was Hampsterdance.

Full of dancing hamster GIFs & a sped-up tune, it became one of the internet’s first viral hits.

You can still dance to it on the #WaybackMachine ➡️ web.archive.org/web/19991222...

And if we made improvements to air quality, probably less people would develop lung issues and those who have them might be able to reduce their medication use. Also new inhalers which are more environmentally friendly are already on the market (although don't work as well for everyone).

I love my city MORE for all its cultures and diversity- and yes I do know Handsworth- I've worked there a lot over the last 5 years with everyone from Sikh community workers to Muslim litter pickers to CofE congregations. Handsworth has a lot of heart and I've never felt unsafe there while working.

every Brummie understands what racist trash this is from the Shadow Lord Chancellor—and if you don’t know our second city here’s your prompt to pay a visit!

Was it a fallow year? Even funnier! My dad went a few times with my older brother in the 90s (over the fence of course) but I have no idea which years now!

I think they probably would have known you were posh because you bothered to buy a ticket. In 1996 more people came in over the fence than paid admission.
