I’m going to do a thread of all of my tarot decks and whether or not the Moon card has a weird crab on it. #tarotsky

1. White Numen, my favorite deck for workaday use. No crab.

What’s the #ttrpg you have the most physical stuff for but you have never played?

If your fantasy #ttrpg doesn’t have rules for quilted armor, it sucks.

They’re bad and they ruin some of the best days

2019 Me who funded the Root KS would have read the rules and run the game.

2025 Me refuses to read or learn anything longer than Into the Odd.

I’m not reading all that to learn how to run it though.

But the older MET rules’ Merits and Flaws were just a brilliant beautiful messy glory, and that’s all gone in a way that leaves it IMO more bland.

Yeah MET/By Night Studios. It has its ups and downs! Gameplay is streamlined in nearly every way, and downtime actions are limited and thus significantly more manageable.

You’ll be pleased to know that Trophy is one of the games I have the most stuff for that I *have* played.

I’ve played the new LARP rules that are based on V5 though.

Yeah I love it on paper! But most of the gaming I have done since the pandemic has been with my kids, who are not quite the right audience for it yet.

In terms of peripheral stuff and doodads, I funded the Root RPG Kickstarter with all the bells and whistles and extras, but it took so long to come out that I got into Mausritter in the meantime and now I don’t know if I’ll ever even play Root.

By numbers, I have *so many* Mothership and MÖRK BORG zines but have never played or run either game.

Judging by weight, I have a whole shelf of Vampire the Masquerade 5e stuff (every book published up through the Players Guide) and I haven’t been able to actually play or run it yet.

Put them together and it all goes on my Ultraviolet Grasslands playlist.

The gas heat for our boiler is so expensive! We blast the AC all summer (because the house isn’t very temperature efficient) and we are super stingy with the heat in the winter, and still our January energy bill is more than double our July bill.
deaconblues1979.bsky.social
Yeah man Warp Riders has got The Juice.
deaconblues1979.bsky.social
Age of Winters has been sitting on my vinyl wishlist for a long time. I really should just break down and buy it. Probably should get Warp Riders too, since it had a Record Store Day release this year.

Same here! Finally feels like fall in the Mid-Atlantic. Guess I gotta bleed the radiators.

The kind of thing where you’re either definitely the right audience or definitely the wrong audience.
