Bizarre that Shapiro keeps making these declarative sentences based on his assumptions about what David Simon thinks, and he’s completely wrong. It’s like he can’t fathom that David Simon doesn’t wish he had AI when making his shows.

SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

Imagine how different U.S. national political coverage would be if outlets decided that someone who has reliably said false things for years/decades is an untrustworthy source who shouldn’t be quoted without that context being added.
