1st time he accused me shoplifting,

2nd time I found a pristine copy of ‘happy nightmare baby’ (fabulous opal record),

& the 3rd time this 80s reverse glass painting allegedly made at rimutaka women's prison 🥰

watching a tuna (eel) hunting these puplings. the parents quacking an alarm, herding the ducklings to safety, swimming as fast as they can only to pop under water for a few seconds before reemerging safe. scary asf but they all made it.

when i was a kid we lived briefly on a farm outside of bartlesville oklahoma, a plain grassy sultry and cold place from whence my earliest memories arise.

to throw rocks in the pools and watch the silver dark ripples race towards the banks - the angle was not right for skipping stones but i tried - sliding down to the bottom of the bank muddy shoes - nose inches from the water looking for tadpoles and fishlings to catch in a jar
