I'm a individual, not a company. I don't need The Cloud. I have flashdrives, external hard drives and, believe it or not, the will to sort my files on my own.

I don't want to save files on the cloud, marketplaces to show me the bestsellers, algorithms to show me the most viral posts or AI to write text for me. I would rather do things on my own, thank you.

I'm not scared of labor, I'm exhausted of laboring for the financial benefits of others.

I agree with this and think this also carries on as you grow older. I gift books to my parents regularly and my dad who's retired never reads them. He has time now, but exploitation never gave him a chance to cultivate the interest in reading.

I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work. France has Earth’s highest reading rate b/c long lunch breaks & labor protections
