What if we took the entire history of interfacing with a computer and replaced it with a chat bot that won't shut the hell up
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

"I miss when the republicans weren't racist" is just one of the most wild takes unless you're a 90 year old person lol.

We do our best to dress it up in academic language but it really must be said plainly that if you’re an unironic anti-vaxxer you’re a fucking dumbass
Also worth noting that showing someone facts that contradict their existing narrative is treated as a difference of opinion rather than a refutation. Lots of false balance being created to prop up debate around topics which, according to scientific consensus, aren't in question at all.

I find it absolutely insane that we live amongst people who will immediately believe every ridiculous claim that comes out of the mouth of a feudal king or a dictator, but then be completely skeptical about empirically proven, peer-reviewed facts that are shared by experts

10 years ago, Amanda Marcotte was calling Bernie supporters a bunch of racist, sexist, spoiled rich kids and now she's trying to launder the history of the Young Republicans. el oh fucking el.
They have 100% always been this way, though notably the transition from helicopter rides and referencing crushing minorities abroad humorlessly transitioned to nazi shit, but like that's basically a new layer of paint instead of a new perspective.

For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.
That's why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed -because Young Republicans weren't radical enough.

Every designer and photoshopper you know has spent hours or days trying to mimic this look in photoshop without just literally hand-painting everything and, it simply cannot be done

There are thousands of tutorials out there that are like “This is sorta pretty close! I think!”
No takers on this, I see. Perhaps the world isn't ready.

Genuinely never understood the hype surrounding this seemingly sincere attempt at gravitas from the "Down With The Sickness" guy but evidently the people love it
God damn, I could have gone my whole life without hearing Disturbed's horrible cover of The Sound of Silence, and died happy.

i would love a future where all people being allowed to simply exist as they are in public is not considered a political issue
Oh, for sure. They’re not engaging with the text in any way, just seeing what they want to see.
