About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

Business Insider headline reads: UPS is telling customers that their packages coming to the US are marked for destruction.

Ever heard of the concept of a cult following? Like even if it wasn’t a mega hit there was a reason why it resonated with people and had references in pop culture. People liked the idea and concept and its aesthetics. It also got a TV show that was good

Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again

Romulus is alright.

Everything else i could care less. Ripleys struggle for survival is the thing that always captivated me, as Aliens was the one I saw first.

It really seems like every movie since has tried to recapture the formula of Alien instead of just doing what Aliens did.

#devtober day 7 - part 2 of fixed camera parity

With yesterday's work being held up by a dumb typo, the fixed camera areas are working pretty closely to the original now. This will help magnify subtle things like slide activation time, general area feel, post-warp orientation etc.
