Und das Verachten war eher so 'muss man halt, gehört sich so'. Dahinter war der gleiche Rechtsextremismus immer aktiv und vertreten.

Früher war nicht alles besser, aber immerhin durfte man Rassismus als solchen benennen, ohne Gewalt angedroht zu bekommen.
Zudem herrschte allgemeiner Konsens, dass Rechtsextremismus verachtenswert und verboten ist und nicht mit Steuergeldern finanziert wird.

Das war schön.

I'm just one person, and my programming needs are somewhat unusual (building various kinds of statistical forecasting models). But I'm just not seeing the consistent productivity gains from LLMs that I would have expected if you'd asked me 6 months ago.

Joke videos don't pretend to be real. They show their effort, though.

Besides all the listed points of reason, one other thing: it loses the reason to be fun.

Videos are fun cause they're real. Or, because someone put in effort for the joke.

If they're ai, they kill their own reason. And our mood with it.

I am once again asking Canadian journalists to ask the most basic-ass question of "on whose land will these be built?" How is it that every other major industry must consider Indigenous rights but with tech it's like "meh".

This is both fascinating & frightening. There is a demand for images that show and confirm what people already know and believe to be true, and AI slop meets that demand—with visual content that emblematically visualizes what the headlines report. One could call it synthetic hypervisualization

That TikTok account has a few fake videos of reporters getting detained. They make these videos because it’s a big story in the news. Real reporters are getting arrested. And so people are making AI videos to get engagement on TikTok.
