Cats do not name things unto themselves. The things belonged to the cat since before the Ainur sang and before Eru Iluvatar said "Eä." Cats simply live as if this is so, and the rest of us are too anxiety-ridden to do the same. #tolkien #cats

Two days’ ride west of Rivendell, Glorfindel reaches the Last Bridge over the River Hoarwell and finds it guarded by three Nazgûl. He chases them westward, leaving a beryl stone on the bridge to mark his passage.

It’s dark. Sam asks for a tale. Strider tells of Tinúviel: ‘It is a fair tale, though it is sad, as are all the tales of Middle-earth.

‘The leaves were long, the grass was green,
The hemlock-umbels tall and fair,
And in the glade a light was seen
Of stars in shadow shimmering…’

Not all of your hobbies need to be content.
Not all of your hobbies need to be monetized.
Not all of your hobbies need to be something you're good at.

As long as you enjoy it and it brings you peace, then that's enough.
Is there a news source for this?

I often get pushback when I make points like this, from those dying to ask “but what about the *really* disabled autistic people?”… all assuming I don’t live with a disabled autistic teenager.
I do, by the way, and she’s awesome. And she deserves better than people using her as an anti-ND argument.
This book arrived today. The second edition of the Poetic Edda by Dr Jackson Crawford. I've been a fan of his YouTube channel for awhile and I'm excited to delve into this book. #poeticeddas #jacksoncrawford #books
There is a Russian Opera about it. I believe it's available on YouTube.
Finished painting and assembling this diorama of the first meeting of Beren & Luthien. The trees are from twigs from my own Luthien and I's home, the sand is from where we got engaged.
