The reason that the end-game festival minigames aren't half as daunting, for example, isn't that they're purely *easier* challenges in terms of raw skill. Having them themed around silly little guys is a HUGE psychological factor.

Been practicing Silksong bosses for the 5 h speedrun achievement. Seems doable but I really choke mid to late game.

IMO, much of the difficulty comes from enemies dictating the flow of combat. Once you learn to take the reins, it gets manageable – but getting there involves failing over and over.
