It's really funny that some people have evolved the word "filler" to mean "scene that isn't an action scene," which is wild considering an overly long action scene is a great way to pad a running time if you don't have much story to tell. 😂

How far behind the times is this creep? I was a teenager in the 90s and, after Nevermind came out, dyeing your hair blue and getting nose rings was so mainstream that even the kids in the shitty suburb where I lived were doing it. In 2025, it’s about as transgressive as painting your nails.

Watched the first episode of the 79' series and i'm pretty impressed at how well it hold up.

Sure, the design is dated, and the animation isn't the best (some shots are pretty amazing though, iconic even) but the story gets real darkin a surprisingly compelling way.
