A huge group of people are in a giant hole in the middle of a rolling field. There is a large sign with an arrow pointing to the hole that says "HOLE." Suddenly the group's attention turns to a new hole, complete with a giant sign with an arrow pointing to it that says "NEW HOLE." One person points to the new hole and says "hey look! Someone made a new hole!" The mass clamours out of the old hole and makes a bee-line toward the new hole. It's chaos. One person, now situated in the new hole says "this feels like how the old hole used to feel." Another person nods in agreement.

most of the founders despised democracy. they used "the Democracy" to refer to the non-elites, in EXACTLY the same way as republicans use the term "Socialist." they feared and hated anyone who wasn't as cool and rich as they were. they wrote the constitution to PREVENT democracy, not implement it.

I use it for my job. It kicks ass, and it's unrealistic for me to expect to continue to advance my career without it. I also use it to produce music, which I had been totally unable to motivate myself to do since about 2009. It's paradoxically given me the energy to start writing synth music again.
