25mph winds & grey sky's didn't deter us from our low tide cruise y'day. Despite the wind we battled through & were rewarded with 1 RT Diver, 9 Spoonbill, 1 WT Eagle, 26 Red-breasted Merg, 3-4 Marsh Harrier, plus lots of winter waders & wildfowl, Avocets, db Brent Geese @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

Lovely to see my first double figure UK flock of 12 Glossy Ibis just now at Sunnyside, with the video below showing some of the group as viewed through a frustratingly ungappy hedge. The birds were feeding well by the looks of things, despite regular flushing by canines @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

November is the peak month for wintering Woodcock arrivals.
Unfortunately, Woodcock are prone to colliding with buildings during their noctural migration. If you find a dead or injured bird, please report it via the BirdTrack App, or email [email protected].

The 12 Glossy Ibises were still present about 20 minutes ago
The best option is to park at Sunnyside and walk along the dog walkers path that goes West & parallel to the Ridge road to the second field. They were at the back of the field with Horses

A few hours spent wandering at a blown out St Aldhelm's this morning failed to produce much in the way of passage, with locally notable species comprising a lone Mistle Thrush, a grounded Grey Wagtail amongst a flock of Pied wag's, & a furtive female-type Cirl Bunting @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social
