My novel Villager came out in 2022. It was published by Unbound, who had little marketing/sales power. But I was excited & proud, since I worked so f-ing hard on it.

My Uncle, who bred meat rabbits, sold my 2 pet rabbits to the butcher he was "pet sitting" whilst I was on holiday. 2 big bucks who according to him "weren't suitable as pets" he offered me 2 youngsters I declined & have never eaten rabbit

Tearing up environmental rules isn't even universally good for business. When huge corporations pollute waterways, it hits the myriad small businesses - cafés, pubs, hotels, angling clubs, shellfish farms, fishers, boat clubs - who depend on clean rivers.
